SEG Partners with Bryant University to Bring Social Impact Internships to Students
Five students will be selected and matched with social impact based ventures
SMITHFIELD, RI – Social Enterprise Greenhouse (SEG) is partnering with Bryant University to educate and empower students through internships at social impact based ventures. Throughout the thirteen week program, the five selected students will receive hands-on experience in social responsibility, social impact, and entrepreneurship.
“This partnership connects budding entrepreneurs with seasoned leaders who are successfully implementing socially conscious business practices,” said Julie Owens, Chief Executive Officer of SEG. “We are so pleased to be able to offer the guidance and support necessary to prepare young innovators for what’s next.”
In addition, students will receive career guidance and attend four specialized workshops focusing on social impact. Before the program begins, accepted students will be interviewed by the team at SEG, and matched with a venture that best corresponds with their interests and goals. After a final interview with the chosen venture, students will be placed for the duration of the summer.

This partnership marks the beginning of an inspiring chapter in Bryant’s mission to embrace social responsibility and complements our new general education curriculum that intentionally integrates the 17 United Nations sustainable development goals.”
The program runs from May 20 until August 14 with a special farewell celebration on August 22. Students will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other local university students during the course of the program.
